About Quiz Maker
The Quiz Maker lets you build quizzes with multiple-choice, true/false and short-answer questions. Multiple-choice questions can have one or several correct options, and each question can carry its own point value and an explanation. You can build the quiz in the editor or write it as plain text: an asterisk marks a right option, a dash a wrong one, and an equals sign gives the true/false answer or the accepted short answers.
Play mode scores the quiz automatically, with answers revealed after each question or at the end, shuffled questions and options, and a pass mark. Short answers ignore case and punctuation and can also accept missing accents and small typos. For paper tests, the quiz maker creates a PDF on A4 or US Letter with optional name, date and score lines, points and answer lines, plus a matching answer key with explanations; shuffled printouts give neighboring students different versions.
Teachers, trainers and students can use it for classroom quizzes, homework checks, revision, team training or a quiz night. Save the quiz as a JSON file to edit it later, or share it as a link that carries the whole quiz.

Where is my quiz stored?
Only in your browser while the page is open. Save it as a JSON file to continue later. A share link carries the whole quiz after the # sign, a part of the address that browsers never send to a server.
Can students see the answers in a share link?
The answers are part of the link so the quiz can be scored without a server. Someone who decodes the link can read them, so use the printed version for graded tests.
How are short answers checked?
Case and punctuation are ignored. With forgiving checking on, missing accents and small typos are accepted too. Add several accepted answers for synonyms or spellings.
Can I make different versions of a printed test?
Yes. Turn on Shuffle the printout and every download mixes the questions and options differently. The Quiz + key PDF includes its matching answer key, and a separate Answer key download matches the last quiz you downloaded.
How are questions with several correct answers scored?
All or nothing: the points count only when exactly the correct options are selected, with none missing and no wrong ones added. Players see a Select all that apply hint on such questions.
