About Business Card Maker
The Business Card Maker designs and prints business cards from your contact details. Enter name, job title, company, phone, email, website, address and a tagline for the back, add a logo, and choose between a classic left-aligned layout, a centered layout, a color band on the side or a color block on top. Colors come from presets or your own background, text and accent colors, with separate fonts for the name and the text.
A QR code can link to your website or carry a vCard so people can save you as a contact with one scan; it goes on the front or fills the back. The back can also show your logo or name on the accent or background color, or be left empty for single-sided cards. Card sizes include the European 85 × 55 mm, the US 3.5 × 2 inch, the Japanese 91 × 55 mm and the credit card format, horizontal or vertical.
For home printing, the business card template is laid out on A4 or Letter sheets with crop marks, up to 10 sheets at a time. For a print shop, export single cards with 3 mm bleed. Freelancers, small shops and event attendees can create a visiting card in minutes without design software.
Frequently asked questions
How do I print double-sided business cards at home?
Print the PDF double-sided and choose the flip edge shown below the preview (“Flip on long edge” for portrait sheets). The backs are mirrored so they line up with the fronts. Use thick card stock and cut along the crop marks.
What is bleed and do I need it?
Bleed extends colors 3 mm past the cut line so no white edge appears if the cut is slightly off. Print shops usually ask for it. For cards with a white background you can leave it off.
What does the QR code contain?
Either your website address or a vCard with your name, company, phone, email and address. Scanning the vCard offers to save you as a contact.
Which size is a standard business card?
85 × 55 mm in most of Europe, 3.5 × 2 inches (88.9 × 50.8 mm) in the US and Canada, and 91 × 55 mm in Japan.
What is the safe area on a business card?
The safe area is a zone a few millimeters inside the cut line where text and logos should stay. Cutting is never perfectly exact, so anything too close to the edge can be trimmed off. The preview marks the safe area with green lines that don't print.
