About Envelope Printer
The Envelope Printer lays out addresses for printing directly on envelopes. It supports ISO sizes DL, C6, C6/5, C5, C4 and B6, US sizes #10, #9, #6¾ and Monarch, A2 and A7 invitation envelopes, and any custom size. Each recipient gets their own page, and you can add your return address in the top left corner, a stamp box outline, and adjust the font size, text color and exact address position.
Because printers handle envelopes differently, you can choose how the page is fed: as an envelope-sized page in landscape, rotated by 90° clockwise or counterclockwise, or centered on a full A4 or Letter sheet. In window envelope mode the tool instead prints a letter with the address placed for DIN 5008 form A or form B or for a US #10 window envelope, with a small return address line, date, subject, letter text and optional fold and punch marks.
The envelope template is useful for wedding and holiday invitations, small business mailings and anyone who wants neatly printed addresses instead of handwriting them or sticking on labels.
Frequently asked questions
How do I feed envelopes into my printer?
Most printers take envelopes in the manual or rear tray, short edge first and centered. If yours does, choose a rotated feed. Print one envelope on plain paper first to see which way round it comes out.
Where does the address go for a window envelope?
DIN 5008 defines the address field 20 mm from the left edge, 45 mm from the top for form B (the more common layout) or 27 mm for form A. The tool places the address, a small return address line and the fold marks for you.
Can I print many envelopes at once?
Yes. Paste all addresses separated by empty lines and the PDF gets one page per envelope.
Which envelope fits an A4 letter?
A DL or C6/5 envelope takes an A4 sheet folded in thirds, a C5 envelope takes A4 folded once, a C6 envelope takes A4 folded twice into A6 size, and a C4 envelope holds A4 unfolded. In the US, a #10 envelope fits a Letter sheet folded in thirds.
